"Put Your Own Personal Touch on Your Home-Based Business"

Remember when you first started you own home-based business? Remember how excited, nervous, and yet apprehensive you were? That happens to everyone and with the information I am incorporating into this article, you can take those emotions and build your business to the point you want it to be!
Everyone in a home-based business or any business field with advertising comes to a point of discouragement or frustration when what they are doing is just not working anymore. They need fresh ideas and they need to increase money flow and get the word out about their product, idea, or website. When you get to this point, you need to analyze what is going on. Most of us don't think to go back in time and remember how you first got started and all those feelings you had in the beginning.
Remember having the true desire to succeed….purchasing products and doing research on what you are offering others to gain knowledge about what you are promoting…. being decisive about what choices are best for your situation and business…. being patient, persistent and consistent with your business and your efforts…..but didn't you forget the most important thing??? BE PERSONABLE!
Sometimes we get so caught up in the business and needing money that we forget the golden rule. Treat others as you would want to be treated yourself. Try a few of these pointers to help yourself and your business be more personable.
- 1. Emailing affiliates or leads politely and promptly. Include a personal statement instead of just sending something automated all the time.
- 2. If you have a phone number, try calling them in person.
- 3. Try snail mail instead of email. Be a person and not a computer screen.
- 4. Try sending hand-addressed flyers, business cards and information to potential leads so that your snail mail letter won't get "deleted" with all the other junk mail that comes to their house.
- 5. Be available for customer service and or affiliate help and ideas if they need you. Never forget you were right where they were at one time.
- 6. If you have advice or resources, offer it free to help others. If you don't have the answer, don't be afraid to say you don't know, but also follow up with the statement that you will find out for them.
- 7. If you have to find an answer you don't know, do it promptly and politely.
- 8. Let your testimonials be viewable….if others see you as personable, that will be a great and unique selling point.
- 9. Always have a good attitude and be willing to help others succeed.
- 10. Remember to continue to have your own personal desire, knowledge base and goals. Always be patient, persistent and consistent!
Even if you try a few of these pointers or possibly opt to not try any of them, keep an open mind. Never forget that the people before us, who didn't have our computers and technology, made a living just by getting out, being nice and meeting people. If you do try some or all of these pointers, I think the opportunity you are promoting has the potential to skyrocket! Good luck to all!
